Culver City has grown into one of the Westside's busiest neighborhoods, and its residents tend to value practical, well-planned care. Dr. Dan Shaer's approach fits that: every treatment is mapped in advance, so you know what will happen at each visit and why.
At under 4 miles, the studio is close enough for a consultation on a lunch break or after a morning meeting, which makes it realistic to see a specialist in cosmetic and restorative dentistry without losing a whole day.
Getting here from Culver City
From Culver City City Hall on Culver Boulevard, the drive is about 3.7 miles. The usual route follows Culver Boulevard to Venice Boulevard, heads east about a mile, then turns north on La Cienega Boulevard for roughly 2 miles to Wilshire.
La Cienega crosses the Santa Monica Freeway along the way, so if you are coming from the Hayden Tract or the area around the Culver City Metro station, joining La Cienega is usually the simplest approach.

Orienting yourself on La Cienega
Heading north on La Cienega, you cross Olympic and then reach Wilshire. Turn left onto Wilshire and the studio at 8500 is almost immediately on your side of the street.
LACMA and the Petersen Automotive Museum are about a mile east of the studio on Wilshire. If you know the Miracle Mile, you are close.
From the area around the Culver City E Line station, Venice and Washington Boulevards both lead east to La Cienega. On the way back, La Cienega south gives you easy access to the Santa Monica Freeway if you are heading on to the rest of your day.
Care Culver City patients often plan with Dr. Dan
Restorative dentistry here is biomimetic, which means restorations are designed to behave like natural tooth structure and to preserve as much healthy tooth as possible. That is often the first conversation for someone with worn, cracked or heavily filled teeth.
For cosmetic goals, porcelain veneers and full cosmetic plans are designed around your face, and dental implants are planned with 3D digital guides when a tooth needs replacing.
For worn or cracked teeth, the first visit often includes a careful look at how your bite has changed over time. That bite analysis guides whether conservative restorations, onlays or a broader plan make the most sense.
