Downtown Los Angeles professionals often have little time to spare, so a dental consultation across town has to be worth it. Dr. Dan Shaer's process is built to make every visit count: the plan is designed first, explained clearly and approved by you before treatment starts.
The studio is about 9.5 miles from Pershing Square by road, and the Metro D Line now runs from Downtown along Wilshire to a station about a block from the building.
Getting here from Downtown
By car from Pershing Square, the drive is about 9.5 miles. A common route uses 5th Street to the Harbor Freeway (CA-110), then the Santa Monica Freeway (I-10) west, exiting at La Brea Avenue and continuing on San Vicente Boulevard to Wilshire.
By Metro
By Metro, the D Line runs west from Downtown stations including Pershing Square and 7th Street/Metro Center, through Koreatown, to Wilshire/La Cienega. That station opened in May 2026 and is about a block from the studio, so no transfer is needed from those Downtown stops.

Arriving at Wilshire and La Cienega
If you take the train, exit at Wilshire/La Cienega and walk west along Wilshire; the building is about 200 meters from the station. If you drive in on San Vicente, you join Wilshire just west of the studio.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the Beverly Center are both under a mile north, useful landmarks if you are using a rideshare.
The D Line also starts at Union Station, so commuters arriving on Metrolink or other lines can stay underground all the way to Wilshire/La Cienega. From Bunker Hill or the Financial District, Pershing Square and 7th Street/Metro Center are the closest D Line stops.

Planning bigger treatment around a busy schedule
Dental implants and All-On-4 treatment take place over several months, with planning, placement and a healing period before the final teeth. Mapping every stage in advance helps you plan work around it.
Full mouth rehabilitation follows the same principle for patients who need comprehensive work, and porcelain veneers can transform a smile in a defined number of visits.
Implant treatment usually starts with a 3D scan to check the bone and plan the implant position. Knowing that plan early lets you book the placement and follow-up visits around deadlines and travel.
